All Hallows’ School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Year 10 student Amelia G, whose exceptional performance in the Mathematics Extension Hub Queensland Advanced Number Theory Course has earned her an invitation to participate in the Australian Mathematical Olympiad on 29 July.

The Mathematics Extension Hub Queensland brings together approximately 100 of the state’s most talented young mathematicians for the advanced course. Working beyond the standard curriculum, students engage with challenging mathematical concepts that require creativity, persistence and sophisticated problem-solving skills.

Amelia distinguished herself by achieving an outstanding 40.5 out of 42 in the Advanced Number Theory course. This remarkable result places her among the highest-performing students in the program and reflects both her mathematical ability and her commitment to pursuing excellence.

Amelia will compete in the Australian Mathematical Olympiad on 29 July, taking on a series of challenging problems designed to extend students’ mathematical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Her success also reflects the growing strength of All Hallows’ School’s participation in the Mathematics Extension Hub program. Student participation remains high, with the school recording one of the highest enrolments statewide, and results continuing to improve year after year.

We congratulate Amelia on this outstanding accomplishment and wish her every success as she takes on the challenges of the Australian Mathematical Olympiad.
