On Thursday 11 June, our incredible All Hallows’ community came together for our fifth Giving Day, helping open the door to ensure financial circumstance is not a barrier to opportunity. This year’s campaign, Holding the Door Open for Her, was inspired by Catherine McAuley’s decision almost 200 years ago to open the doors on Baggot Street and create access to education, care and opportunity.
Through the generosity of our donors, volunteers, families, alumni and friends, our community raised an extraordinary $249,015 and funded two Catherine McAuley Bursaries.
A Catherine McAuley Bursary provides more than access to education. It opens the door to belonging, opportunity and all that an education grounded in Mercy can provide.
Because of the generosity of our community, two young women will now have the opportunity to walk through the doors of All Hallows’ and become part of our community where they will be welcomed, known, supported and encouraged.
Giving Day is never simply about raising funds. It was about the collective generosity of a community and the difference that can be made when people come together to support others.
